Disappointed March 2, 2010 Bookluvr (Toronto, Canada) I've read and enjoyed all the Dan Brown books to date but I was very disappointed with this one. It was predictable and I found myself skimming though the end which dragged on.
disapointment February 22, 2010 P. Gurevich (Canada) there is nothing to add to my title. It's the same format as in the first 2 books in the trilogy, except instead of Rome and Paris/London the location now is Washington DC.I turned the pages all right, but much slower than in the previous books and most of the `secrets` and `symbols`` were expected, including the Big Surprise at the end (I guessed it before the middle of the book). The characters are undeveloped, information is missing (almost nothing about P.Solomon`s wife, something you wonder about when you read about his son). If it is the first time you read Dan Brown- you`ll probably enjoy it, for me it was the lesser one of the three.
the lost symbol February 22, 2010 Christopher Bird (canada) yet another paper movie about secret societies and such, gruesome killings , good and evil, etc. have not been able to get pass chapter five. it just seems to the sameness, different theme. it's gathering dust, i wish i could return it and get my money back, or i might give it away to someone, but that would be cruel.
Lost Symbol not the Davinci Code February 17, 2010 J.K. Randall (toronto, canada)
If you liked the Davinci Code you'll like this one too. The problem is it is not the Davinci Code but it follows its formula 100%. Like any sequel, and it's hard to think of this in any other way, all the best, most original ideas are used up in the first, and we have to settle in the follow-ups (and who are we kidding when we say there won't be more). That is the case here, but having said that it is still enjoyable. I'm pretty sure that I will be waiting for the paperback version of whatever Dan Brown writes next, but I'm also pretty sure that I'll still buy it. It's just that he is no longer hardcover worthy.
Where there is no vision, the people perish. Solomon February 13, 2010 D. Bolduc (Quebec Canada) This is the first book I've read by a "Super Star " author, who weaves into his story,-sacred geometry,- a balance and well informed explaination of the coming 2012 event-a study of Freemasonery that is more truthful than the run of the mill reviews ( they've had a bad press for far too long )- an easy to understand interpretation of symbology,-a look at the founding fathers of the USA that is going to astonish many people, plus a wealth of knowledge and information on cutting edge science. I also truly enjoyed the story line, its an A1 thriller.
But what really impressed me was, that the book has vision.
