The story is as goog as the first 9th other books. I wanted the next book the second I finished this one. I never get tired of reading sookie's books. Read it in 3 days. Go for it ! ;-)

4 out of 5 stars Loved it   July 23, 2010

After the world-altering events of Dead and Gone (book #9), there's still a lot of unrest and upset in Sookie's life. The Fairies and the Weres are displeased because both sides have suffered losses that tie back to Sookie in one way or another. Being married to Eric comes with it's own set of problems as well. Who knew in-laws would be a part of the package?

Though not as high-stakes as some of the other Southern Vampires books, I loved Dead in the Family. It's a nice change of pace for Sookie to go almost an entire book without being seriously injured, and her life was only threatened once in this story! While I was sad to see Amelia go, I absolutely love Claude as Sookie's new roommate and I hope they continue on with this arrangement. I'm not all that hyped about Sookie and Eric's marriage, only because it doesn't seem like something that Sookie has chosen, or would even choose again if she had the option. But as a means of helping keep Sookie safe, I can see the value in it. Personally, I like to have a bit more Bill in my Sookie stories, but I did enjoy the set-up with Bill's sister, and I'm intrigued with where the Bill/Judith story will go in the next volume. It was nice to see Sookie and Jason finally working together in the supernatural battle that seems to be their life, I hope we get to see their relationship continue to build in a positive way.

Dead in the Family makes another great installment in the Southern Vampire series! I'm just sad to have to wait for more.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome   July 11, 2010

This book is a grea edition to the series. It leaves to hanging though at the end. Makes you wonder if the author will continue on with the series.Which I hope she does for I love the series of Sookie Stackhouse.

I always love the part when Eric is in it. I do like how Sookie is this heroien instead of poor pitufl me. I love a strong woman. Yet when bill comes around Sookies feeling do irritate me for why would she still have those lovey feelings towards him.

However the book was great. Hope the author continues on.

3 out of 5 stars Counting down for the next book release in the series   July 1, 2010

Not much of an ending. The next book should be a lot more interesting.

5 out of 5 stars Eat your book   June 22, 2010

Well, this author is really productive. This collection is amazing, you'll fall in love with Sookie the main caracter. Light, easy, it's a perfect book for summer time.
The problem with this author, is you should not start to read the book when you're in bed.....you think you'll read only a chapter, but soon when you look at the clock you know there's only 3 hours left for sleep before you get up to work.
