VERY Small Book May 23, 2010 R. Elgie (Ajax, Ontario Canada) My wife was very excited to find these Munsch books. It brings back memories of when we enjoyed them ad children. We had hoped to find the full-sized books for a decent price, and then we found Thomas' Snowsuit. Although the size listed is "25.1 x 12.4 x 1 cm", the book we received is only about 2in x 2in. I still would have paid the price for the "mini" book, had we have known, but it is still very misleading. BUYERS TAKE WARNING: SIZE IS SMALLER, BUT THE STORY AND ILLUSTRATIONS ARE STILL THE SAME.
VERY small book March 25, 2010 Lynetti (Calgary, AB) I burst out laughing when I got this book in the mail yesterday - I thought it was some sort of joke. The book is about 2x2 inches and I can't see this detail anywhere when you buy. You can get the full size for about $5 in the bookstore. Not impressed.
VERY SMALL BOOK -LITERALLY January 3, 2010 Rebecka Anderson (Lethbridge) I enjoy this book thoroughly that's why I purchased it but there is no where on the info for the book saying it is only 2 x 2 inches large and not a regular full size book. Beware of this!!!
Fun November 9, 2007 David This book is simply good fun with something we are all familiar with. In this case it is trying to get a small boy to wear a yucky, confining snowsuit. The story gets funnier with each new person that the snowsuit ends up on. I love this book and recommend it not only to all children but also to their parents. Another great reading is a series of books titled Why Some Cats are Rascals.
A Family Favorite February 25, 2004 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I'm buying a copy for each of my kids to save for them when they're grown. This book has provided wonderful hours of reading and precious fits of laughter. It's also been an avenue to open conversations about acceptable behavior. I disagree with the review that it teaches children disrespectful behavior, actually I teach my children acceptable behavior and to discern when they are out of line. Thomas is definitely a way for them to bring that lesson home, in a hilarious way! Everyone needs to laugh and I love that this book appeals to the very young (my two year old loves to say no! with Thomas)and to the very old (my grandma read it to the kids the other night and cackled along with them!). Lighten up and enjoy life! That's the message of Munsch!
