| Customer Reviews: Outstanding! October 8, 2008 canadian_smellycat (Canada) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After "trying it all" (you name it, I've tried it) in the world of diets in an attempt to control my out of control menopausal weight gain, I've decided I really have nothing to lose, except those pounds, and gave this one a try. I only did 5 days (plan to do the full 10 after Thanksgiving) but I am astounded by the changes I can see and feel.
I have indeed dropped about 6 lbs so far and roughly 1.5 dress sizes but I was also able to completely walk away from my serious addiction to coffee - something I have been unsuccessful in trying for years.
Although I have read the book(let) by Stanley Burroughs called "The Master Cleanser with Special Needs and Problems" as a starter book to this cleanse, I believe, if you want the whole picture, Tom Woloshyn's "The Complete Master Cleanse" is a must.
After reading Tom's book, I knew exactly what to expect, what possible "side effects" (the good and the bad, there was no ugly) I will most likely struggle with, and what to do about them.
I admit, the first two days were a nightmare - the headache was excruciating and I was turning the proverbial "queen b*tch" but I continued with the cleanse. On day 4 I felt better than I have felt in years!
This book was a total eye opener when it comes to diets/fasts. The author's knowledge is presented in an easy to read, no-nonsense, straightforward way. No gimmicks or BS, everything "adds up" and makes a whole lot of sense.
Get it. You will not be disappointed.
Best book on the Lemonade Diet November 8, 2007 T. Dash (Winnipeg, Mb Canada) I recommend this book to anyone who wants to do the master cleanser and advise them to read it in its entirety BEFORE starting. This book is very informative and intelligently written. Tom Woloshyn has been a holistic healer for years and has done the cleanse many times himself as well as councelled people on the cleanse.
There is alot of useful information about nutrition and essential oils as well. You will not find a better book on the cleanse than this.
I purchased "Lose weight, have more energy and be happier in 10 days" by Peter Glickman and found it to be very ameturish. Three quarters of his book is a bunch of Q&A's that can be found on his websites bulletin board. I found that one to be a waste of money.
Popular and simple detoxification method September 26, 2007 204 ways to love your child This lemonade-like blend of water, lemon juice and cayenne pepper is actually a rather popular and simple detoxification method. I've been using it for 12 days and the results are great. Of course I lost a lot of weight but that is not mine concerns. The important think is that I feel rejuvenated light and empowered. I don't only feel great physically but my mood has also improved tremendously. Staying on the program requires some will power during the first two or three days. After that it is not that difficult. I didn't feel that hungry any more, but I missed the pleasure of enjoying a meal, especially at the dinner time...
As much as I like this book as a good source for general body cleansing, I find it a little one-sided. There are a number of other good cleansing methods that concentrate on specific body parts such as liver, kidneys, bones and joints, etc. A very good reference for these cleansing programs is a book titled "Can We Live 150". In the other book titled "Cure the Incurable" the author focuses on home-made remedies designed to not only cleanse your body but to also fight some incurable diseases such as diabetes, cancer, etc.
