Excellent camera and the service and delivery from Amazon.ca was easy and quick,I would highly recommend. I'm not a experienced photographer and have only used digital cameras in the past but this camera makes it easy to take great pictures. I researched many cameras before my purchase and kept coming back to this one because of the features and price. I picked this camera kit up when it was on sale and no one could come close to matching the price I got here. I'm looking forward to learning more about photography and this camera is a great camera to start with. I've had many Canon cameras in the past with no problems and feel that this camera is going to be no different. Good service, quality product, great price. Thanks Amazon Canada.

I wanted a camera that is a bit more than one of my point and shoots due to picture quality and also to be able to take shots that I felt I sometimes was missing, such as my children who move quickly, but did not want to buy some expensive camera.
The XS was perfect for me. Small and light with very good picture quality.
There is full automatic settings that I use often and it does a good job, while some other settings I have played with, such a shutter priority to help reduce blur from camera movement.
As some who likes taking pictures, but is not a real shutterbug, I found this a good buy.

Since high school 2 years ago, I've stuck with film photography. This year I've decided to try digital and the Canon Rebel has not let me down! I really recommend it for anyone interested in photography. They have automatic settings that work much better than I originally thought, and they also have manual settings for more advanced options/users. I also recommend you get some sort of zoom lens along with your purchase, as I have used it almost just as much as the lens that the camera came with. As for picture quality, this camera again has not let me down. I was expecting much worse since I am so used to film photography, but this digital SLR was good for even 8X10 photo's. I expected more features since my previous digital camera (Canon Elph) had many; but since I have more power and control I am content with what I got. 5 stars and two thumbs up for Canon!
