 Great ... as a back-up until you buy a better one July 5, 2010

I bought this because mine suddenly broke after 3 years of use. I used mine twice a day for an hour each time. So when it broke I needed a replacement asap. Went on amazon and found a cheap one.
It works great, sound and very easy to add and delete tunes. My actual complaint is that there is no random feature. So be prepared to use the skip/forward button a lot if you listen to your player many times a day. Also I thought it had in battery within it like most players do now. Nope, this one runs on one (1) AAA battery. A thing I wish I knew in advance before purchase ( I read pretty quickly and wish it had been more obvious ;p my bad).
This small thing is very dependable player, and ideal as a quick back-up/emergency player until you purchase one of greater value and much better in the features offered departement.

I bought one of these and it was useless. The buttons didn't work most of the time. It took about 25 tries to get the thing turned on. All the buttons were loose/wiggly, didn't seem like a great design. The machine was complete garbage. I returned this one right away. Coby does make another model that's similar but without the screen. I bought one (it was no more expensive than this) and it works great. The buttons on that one are where the screen is on this version. Definitely would recommend the screen free version of this player. As for this item, all I can say is the one I got was defective and definitely a disappointment.

The player gets "stuck" and repeats the same word over and over and over again. Most frustrating for someone just trying to listen. You have to skip a song, to the next song, to get it to stop this repeating, and then it starts all over again. Most frustrating.
I know it was only twenty bucks, but really, if it's not going to work properly, then just don't sell it. :(

Small, decent sound, plenty of storage... not a whole lot of extra features, but it works. I bought this MP3 player to use with my Linux system, and transferring music to it is as easy as drag-and-drop. As per usual, the ear buds that come with the thing are crap, but with my $[...] Phillips earphones, the sound isn't bad at all.
One thing to note: Although the picture indicates a microphone, this particular model doesn't have voice recording capabilities. That's about the only thing that has kept me from giving this unit a 5-star review. Voice recording wasn't a necessary feature for me in an MP3 player, but it would have been nice to have.
