Wonderful Addition to the Harvest Moon Series November 6, 2008 Sarah Kettell (Ontario, Canada) I've played several of the Harvest Moon games (Another Wonderful Life for the Gamecube, Magical Melodies for the Gamecube, & Harvest Moon DS), and have had my ups and downs with each game. My favorite will always be Another Wonderful Life, but this one comes very close. It captures all of the great features I love about Harvest Moon, without making it too complicated. There's no rush to do anything, which is great because it's less stressful as you work at your own pace towards all the various tasks of improving the island, your farm, and getting married.
The new system of complete touch control takes a bit of getting used to, but I found after a couple hours of gameplay I had it down to a science. I don't even really think about it now, and find it actually easier than the buttons from the other DS game.
The graphics are standard for any DS game, but are much better than the previous Harvest Moons as it adds in some 3D touches. Much more appealing to look at.
Overall, I'd say that if you like Harvest Moon then you'll like this one. There's pleanty to do, and lots to work towards in your own time. Tons of fun!

This is the weirdest HM game I ever played. I pick up my chicken, and it takes a zillion taps to get my character to put it down. It is ALL touch screen, you don't use a single button. The animals are cute and everything, but I really don't get this game.......Its a far cry from the previous Harvest Moon's, and I don't recommend you buy it.

I don't care much for this game, I own almost every Harvest Moon game dating back to the SNES.
The problem with this game is the controls, if you can get past that it might be an ok game, but I just found it frustrating that everything is done with the stylus. If you even attempt to use the directional buttons to run or whatever chances are you'll chop into one of your animals with your sickle. The directional buttons are only used as short cut keys for your tools. If you click on something with your stylus you'll pick it up which is annoying if you want to place your cursor on a branch to chop it up, you'll just end up throwing it in your backpack. I don't know why they did this, if only they kept the game like Harvest Moon DS then I'd probably be writing a very different review.
I just find the buttons wreck the game for me! AHHHHHHHHHHH SO FRUSTRATED WHY HARVEST MOON WHY!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
